New Fine Art and Photo Papers from HP
HP has launched a new range of media to compliment its existing range. Professional Satin Photo Paper is a 300-gsm quick dry-to-touch paper and ideal for printing large high quality photographs. The paper has consistent gloss uniformity for reliable colour and reflectivity and is available in rolls 24-in. wide.
When used with the HP Designjet Z2100/3100 photo printers and HP 70 Vivera inks, the paper produces fade-resistant colour and black-and-white images for more than 150 and 200 years, respectively, says HP. Both the gloss and satin papers are available in rolls 18- to 60-in. wide.
HP has also expanded its line of digital fine art media. Designed to satisfy a range of needs, all the media are intended for use with the Designjet Z2100/3100 printers with HP 70 Vivera pigment inks and the Designjet 5000/5500 printers with HP pigment inks. The dry-to-touch media can be finished with HP-qualified solvent-based laminate for better performance and durability. The new products include:
- The HP Collector Satin Canvas is a 400-gsm paper with an acid-free base and pH- neutral coating for museum-quality prints. The 22-mil paper features a 100%-cotton double-weave construction and is stretchable for framing. Available in rolls 24- to 60-in. wide.
- HP Professional Matte Canvas, also for museum-quality display prints, features a heavy poly/cotton double-weave construction with an acid-free base and pH-neutral coating. The 430-gsm, 22-mil canvas is stretchable for framing and produces water-resistant prints when used with HP 70 Vivera inks. Available in 24- to 60- in. wide rolls.
- HP Artist Matte Canvas is a 380-gsm mid-grade, slightly textured canvas designed for high-quality fine-art reproductions. The 18-mil single weave poly/cotton material has an acid-free base, a pH-netural coating, and is stretchable for framing. The canvas is water resistant and HP reports a fade resistance of 200 years when used with HP 70 Vivera inks and the HP Designjet Z2100/3100 photo printers. Available in 24- to 60-in. wide rolls and 13- x 19-in. sheets.
- HP Universal Matte Canvas, designed for mass-market home decor, is a 350-gsm, slightly textured, bright white, poly/cotton single-weave stretchable canvas. The 18-mil material, which features an acid-free base and pH-neutral coating, is water resistant when used with HP 70 Vivera inks. Available in rolls 24- to 42-in. wide.
- HP Hahnemühle Smooth Fine Art Paper is a 100% cotton rag paper ideal for museum-quality output. Available in two weights, 265 and 310 gsm, the bright-white, matte paper is 100% acid free and is fade-resistant for more than 200 years, says HP, when used with HP 70 Vivera inks and HP Designjet Z2100/3100 photo printers. Offered in 24- to 42-in. wide rolls and 13- x 19-in. sheets (265 gsm only).
- HP Hahnemühle Textured Fine Art Paper is a 100% cotton rag paper that is designed for printing museum-quality work. The textured, natural white, matte paper is 100% acid free and has a traditional, handmade look and feel. Available in two weights, 265 and 310 gsm, the media is water resistant when used with HP 70 Vivera inks. Offered in rolls 24- to 42-in. wide.
- HP Aquarella Art Paper, ideal for museum-quality art reproductions and business collateral, is a 240-gsm, warm-white, textured, matte paper with a 50% cotton construction. The 15.9 mil paper features an acid-free base and is available in rolls 24- to 36-in wide and in 13- x 19-in. sheets.
- HP Matte Litho-Realistic Paper is a 270-gsm wood-free paper with the look and feel of heavy offset paper. Designed for high-quality poster art and cost-effective art reproductions, the natural-white paper is water-resistant when used with HP 70 Vivera pigment inks. The 13-mil paper is available in rolls 24- to 36- in. wide.
