Mutoh Australia introduces two new eco-solvent Printers
Mutoh Australia has announced the release of two new eco‑solvent printer models ‘designed to make professional‑grade wide‑format printing more accessible than ever’. Both the XpertJet 1681SR Pro and XpertJet 1641SR Pro II feature Mutoh’s new AccuFine HD Pro printhead technology – 3,200 nozzles across 8 channels, ‘delivering flawless dot placement and faster production speeds’ – and both printers are being offered ‘at an attractive, lower entry price point’.
The MUTOH XpertJet 1681SR Pro 64″ eco-solvent single-head, 8-color printer combines an expanded colour gamut, advanced drying technology, and smart automation to keep production moving. The printer supports a wide range of applications including vehicle wraps, signage, decals, banners, wall graphics, and posters. Its four-stage head-height adjustment and smart take-up system help maintain print quality across different media types and long unattended runs. A flat-type front dryer increases drying capacity by up to 20%, unlocking print speeds to their full potential.
The XpertJet 1641SR Pro II brings together a collection of advanced technologies to build even more on this performance, with up to 60% faster print speed and smart take up with a product-ready edge, making it ideal for high-volume shops that need reliability without constant operator input.
Both printers use MS41 Eco-Solvent Ink – UL GREENGUARD Gold certified for safe use in sensitive environments. Light Cyan, Light Magenta, Light Black, and Orange ink channels extend the printable gamut beyond standard CMYK, delivering smooth gradients, rich darks, and vibrant tones that make output stand out. MS41 ink provides up to three years of outdoor durability unlaminated, and 1-liter ink bags (300 Orange) reduce waste and lower ink costs compared to cartridge systems.
Both printers also come with the award-winning Mutoh Vertelith RIP Software.
Russell Cavenagh, Managing Director at Mutoh Australia, says: “By introducing these two new eco‑solvent printers at a lower entry price, we are removing a key barrier for businesses looking to invest in professional wide‑format technology.”
“At the same time, the ability to upgrade to Mutoh Care Advantage ensures customers can scale their service coverage, giving them complete peace of mind operation.”
Mutoh Care Advantage (MCA) is an innovative new service package designed to help customers safeguard their equipment investment, reduce operational risk, and ensure long‑term productivity – all included in the price of the printer, covering warranty and maintenance for either a 3 or 5 year period. MCA covers all preventative maintenance services and any warranty repairs for the customer-selected period.
