Two days in and there is a constant hum around the Halls of Fira de Barcelona, fueled by the hustle and bustle of people doing business, exhibitors spruiking their wares and specialists poring over product details. The show’s big guns – HP, Durst, Agfa, Canon, Epson, Mimaki, Summa, Hexis and the newly crowned Mutoh, a company of Brother are all front and centre, surrounded by a range of products and talent from FESPA’s five co-located groupings: Sign, Personalisation, Textile, Corrugated and Vehicle Wrapping.
As is tradition, suppliers and printers who have made the long trip over from Australia, take a few moments to relax and re-connect at Club FESPA, sharing stories of extended journey times and planned holidays cut short by the challenging geo-politics of our time.
But midst all of this, FESPA and its Australian contingency are buzzing and the growing anticipation around automation and AI, the continued groundswell of interest in all things DTF and the relentless advances in press speed and productivity, all continue to dominate the over-arching conversation. All suggesting it’s never too early to hail the event as a success.
