Drupa news – Bordeaux launches environmentally friendly textile ink for direct-to-fabric and transfer printing at drupa 2012
Bordeaux is showcasing its latest wide-format inkjet solutions PRDS, a new environmentally friendly water based ink for direct and transfer printing on textile.
At drupa, this ink is printing on the Speedjet Subly 180 printer.
With excellent nozzle stability and performance on Epson printheads and high ink density, the PRDS produces intense and vibrant colors as well as excellent color fastness and low fumes during fixation. This water based ink is suitable for both direct printing on fabrics or transfer printing, and it is available in bulk and cartridges.
Moshe Zach, CEO of Bordeaux, says “Drupa is an excellent opportunity for us to show our new generation of environmentally friendly solutions from our popular eco solvent to our water based dye sublimation for soft signage, flags and apparel applications and our water based Latex ink.”
At drupa, Bordeaux launched its first Latex water-based resin ink designed for Piezo Drop-on-Demand printheads instead of the commonly used Thermal Drop-on-Demand printheads. The Latex ink benefits from the quality achieved with solvent based inks with the environmental advantage of water based inks.
