swissQprint flatbed printers colour space extended
The swissQprint Impala and Oryx inkjet systems offer inherently more than CMYK.
New spot colours – for 20% more colour space.
| The swissQprint Oryx |
Until now, the brochure for the Impala printing system included this statement: „The standard CMYK can be extended to as many as nine colours: light colours for natural skin tones, white, effect or protective lacquers, special colours and even primer for printing on glass.“ Now orange, green and violet spot colours have been added to the palette – thereby extending the colour space by about 20 per cent.
The new spot colours can be configured according to choice, and retrofitting is possible at any time. All the UV-hardened inks adhere to acrylic, dibond, wood, tarpaulins and awnings, polyester, polycarbonate, polystyrene, (rigid foam) PVC, vinyl films, flexible foam panels and other media. The result: lettering professionals can meet virtually any requests from clients as regards media – including colour fidelity.
Silk gloss print mode – 15% more colour space
Designers are fond of varnish when it comes to finishing printed materials. With its inkjet systems, swissQprint is now offering a new print mode that yields brilliant results − with no need for additional hardware or special ink. This mode is software-controlled. Existing clients are entitled to an update that will extend their colour space by 15 per cent at no cost.
This function is already integrated into the standard software for new systems.
