Starleaton launch own brand Photo Satin media

Branded in the house SDS livery, the new media is imported in jumbo rolls and converted and packaged locally, enabling costs to be kept down.

“It’s not all about low cost,” says Hughes, “although we have priced aggressively. Our new SDS Photo Satin has a bright white base and premium coating which simulates the satin ‘E’ surface popular in photographic-grade printing. Colour rendition is brilliant and, as with all SDS media, we custom ICC profile for our customers free of charge.”

The new media is initially available in 1370mm (54”) and 1524mm (60”) widths on 30 metre rolls. It is compatible with Solvent, Eco-solvent, Latex and UV curable inks on most available printers of these types. It can be laminated with either thermal or pressure-sensitive cold laminates.
