Kodak film availability will be unaffected by Kodak in America going into Chapter 11
20 January 2012
Continuity of supply of Kodak media will be guaranteed in Australia, according to Starleaton Digital Solutions, despite the announcement that Kodak in the US is going into Chapter 11.
Gary Smith, director of Starleaton said even if the worst were happen and Kodak disappeared from the map, Starleaton holds at least three month’s supply at any one time.
Chapter 11 in the US is a level of protection for US companies that are experiencing financial difficulty. It gives them some time to sort themselves out and can often be quite beneficial in the long term for the company, staff and customers.
