Ink saving and carbon measuring devices for Durst machines

The Ink Performer engine is designed and optimised for LFP Inkjet Printers. Users can significantly reduce ink costs at the printing level in an easy way by simply selecting the ink saving option while printing, without changing the colour in the final print.

The Ink Saving option is set at the printing level, not at the profiling level and has three black start levels and four ink saving levels, ‘low-medium-high-max’, corresponding to the different levels of economy. Savings of up to 33% can be realised, depending on the file used.

The redesigned Caldera CostVIEW Version 3 is a web-based carbon footprint calculator, dedicated to the wide format printing industry, and can now indicate the CO2 emitted by each job for each printer: ink, media, electricity and additional assigned costs.

Any production manager can view all jobs in the spooler, monitor ink and media costs, add optional or automatic costs to each job and export the job listing with all relevant costs as a spreadsheet ready for further analysis. Its web-driven interface can be accessed by any user in a company network using a simple web browser.
