Gerber Scientific issues patent infringement against Roland DG Corporation

It is being reported in the US that Gerber Scientific Inc. has filed a patent infringement suit against Roland DGA Corporation.

Gerber’s patent, which covers equipment and a method for printing and cutting sheet feed material, was issued by the US Patent Office in 1996 and was reconfirmed by the Patent Office in May of 2006.

Gerber is seeking damages in excess of thirty million dollars ($30,000,000), and an injunction against Roland’s sale of infringing products.
