Pozitive delighted with swissQprint growth
Further broadening its global footprint, swissQprint has opened a new 24,780 ft² facility in West Dundee Illinois, situated within driving distance of Chicago O’Hare International Airport, complete with showroom, an expanded warehouse and a dedicated 2,153-ft² technical centre for machine servicing, refurbishment of pre-owned systems and hands-on technical support activities.
Phil Trumble, Managing Director of Pozitive Sign & Graphics Supplies, who are the exclusive distributors locally for swissQprint products, says: “We’ve invested strongly in the swissQprint brand over here and their products have definitely revolutionised flatbed printing, so any growth in their global market presence has to be a positive for us and our customers too.”
“Last year saw the launch of swissQpint’s Generation 5 models, which are 23% faster than their predecessors and come with 10 freely configurable colour channels. Their UV flatbed printers are definitely amongst the best in the world and they are highly accurate for large format projects, offering excellent handling of diverse substrates for businesses that need consistent, dependable output.”
The Gen5 swissQprint flatbeds were based on a completely reworked machine concept, with electronics and software included and a strong focus on the customary Swiss precision, with linear motors that help to make printing performance not only more precise still, but faster too.
The investment in a new North American hub, which the company says it has opened ‘to intensify its activities in the American market’, comes just over a decade after swissQprint first established a US subsidiary company in late 2015,
Erik Norman, President of swissQprint America, says: “This facility allows us to elevate customer support to a new level and creates the foundation for our next stage of growth in North America. Whether it’s reliable access to consumables and spare parts, more hands-on training opportunities or closer technical collaboration, customers will directly benefit from the investments we’ve made here.”
At an official opening of the new purpose-built American facility, swissQprint also showcased its primary technology collaborations – with Caldera, OneVision, and Color Logic – presenting live demonstrations focused on workflow efficiency, automation and production optimisation, and giving those gathered some first-hand insights into integrated workflows spanning file preparation through final output.
