Melbourne signage company installs second HP Scitex LX800s
Briner Total Signage Solutions (Briner) of Melbourne has installed its second HP Scitex LX800 printer with HP Latex Inks.
In business for more than 70 years, Briner works with an established base of repeat customers and employs 54 people at its Braeside facility where it produces signage predominantly for the real estate and commercial development sectors. “We produce eye-catching and durable prints on a wide range of flexible media for a diverse range of outdoor and indoor applications. Currently, we digitally print 100,000sqm per year for real estate and commercial developments,” Alicia says.
She continues. “Part of our philosophy is to work with the latest technology to offer our clients a wide range of innovative manufacturing processes. Last year we installed our first LX800, which was chosen based on its resolution, speed, price and the environmental credentials of the HP Latex inks. Moving forward we are looking to replace solvent printing and the second machine is part of that progress”.
For the commercial sector Briner creates signage solutions for home and land developments Australia-wide. “We work with our customers at the concept stage and take on the role of project management handling everything from planning permit applications to final installation, which makes life easier for our clients and is a major factor in the volume of repeat business we attract”.
The company’s profit is continually reinvested to develop new and innovative products and Briner’s patented E2 Board for the real estate market is indicative of this commitment.
Alicia says Briner uses the HP Scitex LX800 printers to produce a large volume of self-adhesive vinyls as well as flexible media. “These printers enable us to produce outdoor quality products at a reduced cost. They are low maintenance and the HP Latex Inks are odourless and water based, which is positive for the environment and for the workplace”.
In conclusion she says, “Our commitment is to minimise the harmful effects on the environment, and constantly improve our environmental performance. The installation of the HP Scitex LX800 printers has enabled us to halve our solvent machine inventory. We’ve gone from six solvent machines to three with the two LX800 machines producing the same volume as three solvent printers. We are very pleased with our decision to employ the HP Latex Ink platform”.
