Queensland printers could be slugged with a Waste Tax

In the Queensland budget which is to be made public this evening (7th June), the state government is trying for another tax grab, this time a “Waste Tax”.
The tax will hit our printers with taxes ranging from $35-$150 per tonne of waste, depending on how hazardous it is.
The tax, if approved, will come into affect on July 1st 2011.
