New protection for UV digital prints
To satisfy the new constraints of digital UV technology, MACtac has launched an 80 µm matt clear vinyl film to protect UV printed images.
The new IMAGin LUV 3898 protective film offers a strong adhesion even on rough UV prints and gives them an attractive and uniform finish. It even hides the imperfections of the print surface finish.
IMAGin LUV 3898 is a versatile construction which can be used on flatbed UV printed boards but also on soft media used to print graphics with solvent or eco-solvent based inks.
MACtac say that lab and field tests have demonstrated that IMAGin LUV 3898 surpasses most competitive products for POS signs, building signage and sandwich boards due to its higher adhesion level and wet-out properties.
A two year warranty for outdoor exposure is offered for this UV colour fading retardant film which also enhances the colours and the glossiness of the UV prints.
IMAGin LUV protective film is also available in glossy version.
IMAGin LUV 3898 has been used recently in the impressive exhibition of digital prints of the famous S. Van Vleteren, photographer in Gent (Belgium). This exhibition was attended by 60,000 visitors.
