A Premier Event
When 55 global leaders walked into the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for the 2009 Pittsburgh G-20 Summit, they witnessed a stately display that didn’t exist two months before.
In that short time, Hargrove, a general contractor based in the Washington D.C. area that specialises in tradeshows, custom exhibits and events, designed and produced a 27,871-square-metre build-out inside the convention centre without a hitch.
To meet the aggressive timeline, which left only three weeks for printing, Hargrove relied on its new HP Scitex XL1500 5 metre printer, which it installed just before beginning the project. With it, the company printed the miles of fabric walls and more than 6,875 square metres of banner for the venue’s multiple meeting rooms, stages and lounge areas.
