World’s first pressure sensitive laminate that adheres to UV curable inks
Seal Graphics and Starleaton have introduced a new high-performance, pressure-sensitive, solvent-based laminate following the European FESPA exhibition.
Seal UV-Sol Sandtex is a tough sand-textured, non-reflective surface that offers maximum protection from scuffing, marking and UV rays. The advanced UV absorbers enable Seal and Australian distributor Starleaton, to guarantee serviceable life of three years for outdoor and five years for indoor graphics. UV-Sol Sandtex is also slip- rated for use in floor graphics applications, available in an 80 or 100 micron version.
SDS director Ben Eaton says; “UV inks typically exhibit a low-energy surface that can cause problems when laminating both rigid and flexible materials. The UV-Sol range of films overcomes this issue completely and provides a strong, durable bond.”

SDS says rolls of the new Sandtex UV Sol-Lam have now arrived in their warehouses following its preview at Pacprint, in widths from 1040mm to 1540mm and 50 or 100 meter lengths. It will also be available in Matt, Satin and Gloss finishes as stocks arrive throughout September.
