New bio solvent inks for printers using Epson DX3 and DX4 heads
French based Colorific Ink have announced the availability of a new bio solvent ink that they say is compatible with solvent printers using Epson DX3 and DX4 printheads.
One of the growing number of third party ink suppliers, Colorific claim their Bio ink is over 90% biodegradable, contains only food/cosmetic grade solvents, is non-flammable, non-toxic, classified as non-hazardous, and does not require extraction of fumes for Health and Safety compliance.
Printers using Epson DX3 and DX4 print heads from companies including Mimaki, Mutoh, Roland, Seiko and Uniform are compatible with the inks.
"End users want to know that print service providers are doing their bit to offer an economic alternative," said Colorific European sales director Colm Garvey.
The range is available in CMYK, light cyan, light magenta, orange and green and according to Colorific, offer good adhesion, resistance to scratching, alcohol and cleaning fluids, making them suitable for use without laminating or coating.
