HP Pre Drupa Briefing – HP opens more wide format manufacturing capacity in Israel
Hewlett Packard Co. has opened an additional assembly plant for the HP Scitex wide-format printers in the Caesarea industrial zone, near Tel Aviv at an investment of +/-A$50 million. The factory has created employment for about 100 people.

With the recent acquisitions of Indigo, Scitex Vision and NUR totalling an investment of approximately A$6 billion, HP already has two manufacturing plants for printers in Israel, and has an estimated 4,000 Israeli employees.
The new plant will be focussd on the assembly of the HP Scitex range of printers.
HP stated that most of its R&D and manufacturing of digital printers, including wide-format printers, was concentrated in Israel.
