HP launch their Photosmart Pro B8850
Hewlett Packard have launched the Photosmart Pro B8850 at Macworld earlier this month targeting the photographic professional market and at a very low price of US$550.
With a maximum sheet size of 13 by 19 inches the machine uses the proven Vivera ink technology used in the other photo printers.
The new printer incorporates some new technology called Electrostatic Drop Detection that HP claims will monitor individual print nozzles and automatically perform a self cleaning cycle when required.
The unit is capable of printing on media up to 0.7mm which permits most canvas and other thick media can be used in the printer.
It’s being reported that the machine will have a list price in the US of only about US$550.
