HP shows off its ‘photo printer’ the Indigo 5500

HP Indigo 3500 and 5500 shown for the first time at Printex.
HPs Indigo 3500 and 5500 which includes the photo industry as one of its target markets was shown for the first time in Australia at last week's Printex in Sydney on the Currie's stand.
The 3500 being the entry and mid level solution whilst the 5500 being the high volume production unit offering speeds of 68 A4 pages per minute, but both offering enhanced colour quality at 1200 dpi.
Enhancements to these two models include the addition of light cyan and light magenta for six-colour photo-imaging, as well as the ability to change individual inks whilst the press is running.
