Sign China set to pack new Shanghai Expo Centre
Widely recognised as the signage industry’s international ‘Oscars’ showcase event, SIGN CHINA 2026 (15-17 September) is set to pack Shanghai’s new International Expo Centre, showcasing the latest in signage, printing, LED, and digital signage technologies and offering a strategic hub for business networking, innovation, and market expansion in Asia and globally.
The 2026 event acts as a second wave of activity on the back of the success of SIGN CHINA’s successful Spring event, held in Shenzhen in early March. As with that show, Shanghai’s Autumn edition is again co-located with LED CHINA, Digital Signage China, and Digital Printing China – effectively four events under one roof – creating a single powerhouse event which offers visitors a truly comprehensive view of the entire signage ecosystem.
SIGN CHINA 2026 is on track to feature over 1,000 exhibitors across a dozen specialised topics and spread over 8 exhibition halls, covering both traditional and digital signage. Key exhibition areas include:
o digital and textile printing
o indoor and outdoor printing materials
o acrylic and other sign panels
o laser engraving and cutting
o signage, lightboxes, and channel letters
o LED lighting, displays, and digital signage
o new retail, POP, and POS displays
o vehicle wraps, creative packaging, and home décor
The new-look showcase event also aims to ‘unlock a new frontier: where AI, Metaverse, and traditional signage come together’. Acknowledging that the integration of digital technology to create immersive experiences is already revolutionising commercial spaces, Sign China 2026 and its co-located events will showcase how concepts like the Metaverse and AI are opening new avenues for branding and customer engagement, including AI-driven digital humans, naked-eye 3D immersive environments, and other avant-garde advertising technologies, setting trends for cultural exhibitions, retail spaces, outdoor advertising, and more.
Whilst more traditional signage vehicles, like illuminated signage and boxes, storefront signage, visual merchandising and POP, exhibition equipment, LED lighting, sign-making equipment, smart inkjet printing and creative materials/panels, will remain front and centre of the exhibition, these will now be complemented by exciting new digital advertising exhibits, such as AI avatars, metaverse/commercial displays, digital signage, LED/3D/transparent screens, kiosks, projection and cultural tourism equipment.
