Is ACP a fire hazard?
Many would argue that ACP is very definately a fire hazard and that there is much proof to support that claim. With some horrific fire events recently and the prospect of many of our office towers and residential buildings being clad in ACP, there is much cause for concern.
This should not be of any great business concern to our readers in the wide format printing and sign sector compared to those in the bulding industry however it is nice to know that our suppliers are reacting positively to the threat of fire and ACP. Your ACP supplier is potentially supplying to the building trade as well as the printing and sign industry. It was good to hear that Alupanel has started the transition to a Fire Resistant (FR) Core.
This move, they say, will ensure that Alupanel users will continue to enjoy market leading quality with the peace of mind of a fire-resistant core.
The new version of Alupanel will be Alupanel FR, a premium quality aluminium composite material with the Fire Resistant (FR) Core that alleviates the concerns being held by the Architects, Designers, Specifiers and the general public in regards to fire risk.
