In a letter to suppliers, Cameron Sutherland CEO of Australian Visual Solutions tells his suppliers that the company has been sold.
CEO Cameron Sutherland announced the sale to MML who in Australia owns electrical and plastics distribution businesses including TLE Electrical, AWM Electrical, Hayman’s Electrical, Kembla Copper and Metal Manufactures Electrical Merchandising (MMEM).
The MM Plastics Group of MML also runs various plastics and sign and graphics distribution businesses including Graphic Art Mart and Chief Media that have been acquired within the last few years.
AVS was formed by Cameron Sutherland over 20 years ago and was originally called Ramair Packaging. Today the company has offices in all States except for WA. They are the exclusive distributors for Yello Tools, Titan, Plasticade, Concept, Spartan Media, Fletcher-Terry trimmers. Distribution also includes 3M, Sihl and Roland.
Cameron Sutherland states in his letter that the business will carry on as usual with himself retained as the CEO as well as much of the staff.
