Three new printers from Mutoh to be shown at Fespa Digital show in Munich
The upcoming Fespa Digital show in Munich will feature three new printers from Mutoh, all of which are currently available in the US but have yet to reach the European market and our own market.
Firstly there is the ValueJet 628 is the first 610mm wide printer from Mutoh. It’s an eco-solvent roll to roll model that can be used on a stand or even just on a desktop. It’s aimed at the entry level and small copy shop markets and can be used to print posters, POS and even t-shirts via transfer papers.
There’s also an A3+ sized flatbed UV LED printer, the VJ426UF, that is designed to print to solid objects up to a thickness of 7cm. This takes media up to 483 mm x 329 mm. It’s mainly for personalisation of small items such as pens and golf balls, which is a fast growing business area due to having reasonably high profit margins.
The third of these new printers is the 165cm wide VJ-1626UH, a hybrid LED UV printer which prints on a wide variety of rigid and flexible materials, including heat-sensitive substrates. It can run two sets of CMYK inks for higher speed, or CMYK plus white and a clear varnish. Maximum resolution is 1440dpi and the fastest print speed is 109sqft/hr, which is around 33sqm/hr.
