swissQprint to expand into bigger premises
The construction of a new industrial building has commenced on the Schützenwiese in Kriessern, just seven kilometres from swissQprint’s current facility in Widnau.
Construction is planned for completion by September 2014, and then it will be swissQprint’s new home.
swissQprint’s existing site in Widnau is fast becoming cramped for space and capacity. To pave the way for future growth, the company is to move into new premises that will be built right next to the A13 highway exit at Kriessern. Relocation is scheduled to take place in spring 2014. The new production area will be three times its present size, allowing increased output capacity of 250 inkjet printers a year. The production floor will be on one level, greatly simplifying the logistics process. swissQprint at present ships 100 machines per year, with operations split across four floors.
